About Lucía
I am a second year student of International Relations in English, which means that I do the degree in English completely. I have a very good career in my high school years, being the student who received the Honorable Mention with an average of 9'72 in Baccalaureate. Thanks to this I was awarded a scholarship to enroll in the university for free and the entire first year as well. I have previous experience teaching English classes and arts subjects such as history or language. Regarding English, I have officially recognized by Cambridge the title B2 (2019) and this year I will apply for C1, in addition, I was living in Ireland for one month last summer. As for the children, I have a high capacity to communicate with them since I have been a monitor in several informal camps in my neighborhood and I have cared for the children of close friends.

The first thing I do in my English classes is to check the student's level and adapt the content to be taught to their level. To do this, I always start by teaching the grammatical structure of the level we are dealing with, avoiding at all costs using the "grammar and translation" method, because from my point of view and experience, this makes us understand English from a Spanish language perspective, and to learn English the most important thing is to learn to think in English. To try to do this, I always use visual exemplification (such as drawings), as well as games to give them a dynamic perspective of the class.
Another thing I do a lot of is listening and repetition, because based on my experience in Ireland, the best way to really learn is by listening and repeating.
