About Kadin
My name is Kadin DiStefano and I am a freelance Illustrator and Designer, as well as a recent graduate from Ringling College of Art and Design. I am currently focused in the comic/picture book industry but have experience with precollege programs, and portfolio preparation.
I have a BFA in Illustration as well my certificate of completion for the author illustrator program. I have Illustrated for Meanwhile Comic, SRQ Magazine, and done product design for Court Composure. I attended the winter SCBWI conference as their featured illustrator and have been shown in the Society of Illustrators gallery the last two years.
Most of all I emphasize telling a story in all my pieces, and looking at the world around me for the inspiration to do so.

I teach remotely to provide teens and young adults (ages 13-21)
-Portfolio prep and strengthening for art school applications
-Professional practices based in the illustration industry
-Advice and critique on existing pieces
-Technique and broadened horizons
My approach differs with each student. I focus primarily on either upcoming applications or industry practices necessary for each student. I work virtually to help to create portfolio ready pieces, fine tune already made pieces, or even creating a business card, resume, or portfolio website.
I am a recent graduate from Ringling College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration and a certificate in the author illustrator program. I have attended SCBWI conferences, and I am knowledgeable on current industry standards. I have been featured in Society of Illustrators gallery multiple years, and have experience working in comics, picture books, product design, and freelance illustration.
