About Amber
I'm a 1st Year Graduate Medicine student in Northern Ireland. I have a real passion for healthcare and human anatomy - so much so I worked at the University of Oxford helping to deliver the anatomy teaching for three years! Prior to this, I undertook an undergraduate honours degree in Biological Anthropology and a master's in Advanced Forensic Anthropology and Gross Human Anatomy. Previously, I've mentored and tutored in Biology to peers as well as younger students.
I'm a friendly and social individual with a love of learning I try to reflect in creating a relaxed environment where learning is something to look forward to rather than fear. As this is my 6th year in higher education, I'm well-equipped with both teaching and learning techniques I've been taught or had to work out on my own to be successful in formal education.

I like to keep lessons to an hour and separate the hour into three sections; correcting and revising over any tasks set as homework; learning this week's core concepts; cementing understanding and setting tasks to take home for the following week.
Every student learns in a slightly different way and at different paces so I like to talk through what students think works best for themselves, then adapt as we go to methods that fit best with their learning style.
What I can provide:
- Surface-level or in-depth reviews of Human Anatomy using either a regional or systemic approach
- Incorporating histology into anatomical teaching
- GCSE/A Level Biology revision in preparation for exams - including worksheets to take home, quizzes to test progress and clear goals for us to achieve together
