About Abigail
Hi there!
My name is Abby, and I am entering my third year at UOttawa in BSc. Honours Biomedical Science. I am a diversified, go-getting and charismatic individual who thoroughly enjoys helping others.
From a very young age, I have always been willing to work hard
and put in the 'extra-mile' for anything, and everything I set my mind to. I would say that I am quite the diverse individual; I owned and operated my own business from the age of 14, and worked various jobs from retail, construction and media marketing. On the contrast, I enjoy creating art of all sorts, music, coffee, literature and spending time with my two dogs. I am also very passionate about mental health awareness and advocacy, as well as women's' reproductive health and disease knowledge.
I have always had a true interest in all things science- and love to share this passion with those around me. In the future, I aspire to pursue research in the medical field, and later on become an MD.

Every individual learns best in a different way; we all have different strengths and weaknesses. I value the approach of learning from a different perspective; acronyms, 'brain-mapping'... you name it. As someone who once struggled grasping concepts, and did not know how to effectively retain study material; I have learned to apply my different, yet strong & effective learning strategies throughout my academic career, which in turn has greatly improved my academic success. I would love to share my learning tools with those who are looking to improve as well.
I am currently open to tutoring the following topics=
-Biology (High-school biology courses and ex. UO BIO1140)
-Anatomy and Physiology (ex. UO ANP1105 + 1106)
-General Microbiology (ex. UO BIO3124)
=I am currently open to tutoring both virtually and in-person (Greater Ottawa Area).
