About Dorottya
I’m currently at university studying history with a focus on 18th - 20th century philosophy and gender history, I will be writing my dissertation next year on the intellectual history of women and indigenous groups in Latin America. I’m also part of an initiative at university where I help run consent trainings, which gave me essential experience in working with people.

I believe that the most important part of tutoring is establishing a connection and a safe place. For me as tutor, this means figuring out what does not click with my tutee, and finding a way to make the subject seem more interesting to them. I am aware that history can be seen as boring and philosophy as immensely confusing but I wish to share some of my passion for these subjects with them. I will focus on finding the connections between what my tutee enjoys and what they need to study. The importance of learning how to learn became quite a cliche by now but that does not make it untrue.
