About Keila

I was born and raised in Peru, and later I went to the United States where I studied my bachelor’s degree in sciences. After that, I moved to Australia to complete my master’s in secondary teaching. Since then, I’ve taught in both secondary schools and primary schools. My main areas of teaching are science, and for senior students, I specialize in Year 11 and 12 Biology as well as Studies of Religion. Outside of teaching, I really enjoy biking to work because it feels like I’m exercising while also getting something practical done. I’m passionate about health, I love singing, and I also spend a lot of time with my cats.

About the lesson

When you have lessons with me, it’s not just about me talking and you listening. I’ll make sure you actually understand what we’re doing, and you can stop me anytime to ask questions. I’ll explain things in different ways until it clicks for you.
I like using real examples so the work feels relevant and not just something from a textbook. We’ll take it step by step, so you don’t feel rushed or left behind. I’ll also share tips and strategies that make studying easier and less stressful.
The lessons are shaped around you. If you learn best by talking it out, practicing questions, or having clear explanations, I’ll adjust to match your style. My goal is that by the end of each lesson you feel more confident and ready to handle whatever comes next.
