About Callie
I have taken algebra for the past 2 years and I am just now moving on to pre-calculus as a rising sophomore. This means I have been exposed to many of these algebraic concepts, which helps me explain material in a clear and relatable way. I believe all students are capable of succeeding in school with the right guidance. My goal is to strengthen students' problem-solving skills, develop a deeper understanding of algebraic concepts, and most importantly, build confidence in their mathematical abilities. I am very patient and committed to creating a supportive learning environment for students.

My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students, or particularly those who are enrolled in Algebra 1 or 2. My main goal is to help create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their math skills. My teaching style is to help students break down problems and fully understand each step before moving onto the next. I understand how easy it is for students to get overwhelmed by a complex problem that they don't understand yet. During the lesson I will first help the student with any questions they have about previous material. I will try to reinforce the main concept of the lesson through simple, easy to understand explanations. Then, we will go over some practice problems where I will give the student a variety of different types problems to work on. This really helps me understand the type of material that my student learns best with.
