About Sisi
Throughout my tutoring experience, my top priority has been getting to know the student personally: not every tutoring session will be like the other because our lessons will be specific to you. Tutoring for students can also be a fun activity that you look forward to! That is why I love to learn what activities students like to do so we can incorporate some of their interests into our learning.
Most importantly, I have learned that a huge determining factor of a student's success is their confidence, and the students I tutor will be uplifted and encouraged to make mistakes just as equally as they would be for getting questions right the first time. The learning process is a wonderful journey, and I am excited to guide curious students along the way!

When I begin with a student, I review the subject they are being tutored in and devote our first session as a diagnostic, where I see how strong they are in the subject and what progress they have to make. In addition, I get to know the student in the first session and how they learn best (i.e., knowing their side hobbies and if they are visual learners, verbal learners, etc.).
After the first lesson, a typical tutoring session will involve 5 minutes at the start of the session to review what the student wants to complete in our session and what tests/evaluations their work in this subject is leading up to. Along with their schoolwork, I may suggest additional daily yet light practice in order for students to further strengthen and engrain their skills and maintain consistency outside of sessions.
