About Flor

Do you feel like math just was not written for your specific brain? I teach because a mentor once rebuilt my entire understanding from the ground up, and I have been repaying that kindness ever since. My approach focuses on judgment as much as technique, since knowing when to apply a formula matters as much as knowing how to solve it.

I have worked with students who were told fairly early that this subject was not for them. Whether you are in high school or college, I help honors students and those who struggle to build a routine you can actually keep up without me.

I work extensively with polynomials, linear equations, and systems of equations. We also cover sequences, absolute value, and rational expressions to ensure you feel secure. You gain the ability to handle functions and graphs, slope, and word problems through steady guidance. I measure my success by what you can do alone, not in the session.

About the lesson

The smell of dry erase markers usually greets us as we start working through a complex quadratic formula problem on the board. We begin by looking at real past paper practice to ground our discussion in actual exam requirements.

These sessions prioritize fundamentals so that honors students and those struggling with rational expressions can find their footing. As a BA Mathematics graduate from Stanford University, I use my training to break down systems of equations into logical, manageable parts.
