About Ana
Hello! My name is Ana and I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University. Originally from Belgrade, Serbia, I discovered my passion for science at an early age and have dedicated my life to understanding — and sharing — the beauty of chemistry. For me, teaching is not just about formulas and reactions; it’s about helping students see the logic, creativity, and wonder that lie at the heart of this subject. Whether guiding a student through the foundations of general chemistry, the elegance of organic mechanisms, or the molecular intricacies of biochemistry, I aim to make each concept clear, approachable, and meaningful. My greatest reward as a tutor is watching confidence grow — seeing that moment when understanding clicks and chemistry transforms from a challenge into a source of pride. Outside the classroom, I am a proud mother and love teaching my daughters about the world around us, nurturing their curiosity just as I do with my students. Balancing motherhood and science has deepened my appreciation for patience, empathy, and lifelong learning — qualities I bring into every tutoring session.
