About Shobha
"My name is Shobha Perumal. I have a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and a master's in Pharmaceutical Science from University of East London. I currently work full time as a science laboratory technician at Royal Docks Academy, where I prepare and support practicals, follow CLEAPSS safety guidance, manage chemicals and equipment, and help teachers and students get the most from their lessons. I enjoy explaining science in a clear, simple way, and I'm setting up a Homework Club to support students with their work. I'm particularly interested in pharmacovigilance and how we detect and manage adverse drug reactions, which is why I'm applying for a PhD on that topic. I'm reliable, organised, and keen to keep learning, and I'd like to combine my practical experience with research to improve patient safety."
