About Anjaly
I would love to be your teacher, but before that, I’d love to get to know you and build a comfortable and trusting relationship with you. I want you to feel that I’m someone you can comfortably come to with questions, doubts, or anything you’re struggling with academically.
Before we start classes, I’d like to have a small introductory session where I can get to know you, understand what study techniques you currently use, what works for you and what doesn’t, and how you’d ideally like your classes to be structured.
I’m focused on making sure you genuinely understand the topics rather than simply memorizing them. I’d like to incorporate techniques such as active recall and spaced repetition into our sessions, while adapting everything to what works best for you.
If you have ADHD or struggle with concentration or organization, I also want you to know that I’m happy to work around that and support you. You’re always welcome to text me with doubts, questions, or things you’d like explained again even if you need something explained multiple times. There’s absolutely no judgment; my goal is to make sure you feel comfortable asking questions and that you leave each class actually understanding what we covered.

I am a neurodivergent individual and also someone who found classes that forced me to memorize extremely difficult. I have also struggled a lot with exam taking. My focus would be to ensure that the child understands what is actually going on and why or how, what they're studying is important. I'd also focus on active recall and spaced repetition. It would take me some time to understand what type of studying technique works on the child but I'd be sure to try everything till we get there! Personally, I have found tutors and educators when I was a child myself horribly strict or demeaning and hence that is something I strive not to be, I'd be a friend before their tutor and someone they can trust! I am willing to teach children from grade 1 - 10. I would like for classes to be around 2 hours with breaks as required by the child. I have experience teaching children as well as university students for around a year.
