About Katie
Hello! My name is Katie, and I love education, I specialize in Anatomy and Physiology. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health and a Minor in Animal Science. Currently, I am further advancing my clinical and anatomical expertise by pursuing my dental hygiene degree at UT Health San Antonio.
My academic journey is defined by a commitment to excellence. Having earned a straight-A record across my science and anatomy coursework, I deeply understand the dedication, study strategies, and mental frameworks required to master these complex subjects. Beyond my personal academics, I serve as a student leader and chapter President within the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA), which has allowed me to hone my communication, leadership, and professional skills.

My Approach & Techniques
My goal is to take overwhelming scientific concepts and break them down into digestible, easy-to-understand lessons. I don't believe in just reading off a textbook page; instead, I emphasize active recall and conceptual understanding using a variety of personalized memorization tricks, acronyms, and visual associations. If a specific concept isn't clicking, I am always happy to pivot and adapt completely to your unique learning style.

To get the most out of our time, a typical session is highly structured but customized to your current coursework:
- Material Review: We look at the specific topics, diagrams, or lectures you are currently tackling in class.
- Custom Presentation & Breakdown: I guide you through a custom presentation I've built to simplify the material, mixing in fun, tailored memorization tricks along the way.
- Mini-Quizzes: We do quick, low-stakes checks to test your understanding in real-time and make the information stick.
- Active Recall Wrap-Up: We finish the lesson with targeted flashcard review to reinforce the core concepts before you study on your own.
