I’m a highly experienced mathematics teacher with expert-level knowledge of high school and IB Mathematics, particularly IB Math: Analysis & Approaches HL. Over the years, I’ve developed a reputation for quickly identifying the exact point where a student’s understanding breaks down — whether it’s a foundational gap or a subtle conceptual misunderstanding — and then addressing it with clear, tailored explanations. Strategic Exam Prep: I integrate IB past paper questions, markschemes, and timed practice to build exam confidence. Flexible, Personalized Support: I adapt explanations to each student’s pace and needs — from reinforcing core skills to tackling challenging HL problems. IA Guidance: I support students through their Internal Assessment by helping them choose strong topics and develop clear, mathematically rigorous write-ups. Sample Online Session Plan (60 min) Topic: Maclaurin Series 0–5 min: Quick verbal recap on derivative rules. 5–15 min: Use shared whiteboard to derive the Maclaurin series for . 15–30 min: Visualize approximations with Desmos or GeoGebra; compare with actual function. 30–45 min: Student solves a related problem with real-time feedback. 45–55 min: Work through a past HL question together, focusing on exam-style wording. 55–60 min: Summary + assign follow-up problems via Google Docs or a shared folder.
