About Tom
As a University of Michigan PhD student, I taught introductory labs for the Mechanics and Electrodynamics courses. This required a lot of organization and commitment and I am happy to bring that level of professionalism to all students that I teach.

In this course, we will cover 9 core skills for solving a physics problem:
1. Understanding the Word Problem
2. How to Draw the Problem
3. Which Equation to use
4. Geometry Tricks
5. Making your System of Equations and the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra
6. How to use Algebra to solve the System of Equations
7. Tricks for Error-free Algebra, and Checking Your Solution
8. Keep Your Momentum - be Brave and Try It Out.
9. And then finally, How to Create and Use your Notecard
Most students need help with (1) and (2). In physics, certain words and phrases mean specific things and it may take a new student a long time to figure it out. It is faster for someone to translate it for you, and that is one of the many skills I can teach you!
