About Sophia
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. My main areas of study were traditional and watercolor and gouache paintings. From there, I developed my style further with acrylic paint, oils, pastels, colored pencils and markers, and any other mediums I could find to create compelling images. I believe that constant experimentation and play leads to the sharpening of your skills.

Each tutoring session can be catered to your different goals and needs. I’ve worked in many styles from traditional realism, to stylized and abstract. We can always start with the basics in drawing, proportion, and even color theory. We can also move along to more complicated techniques with certain mediums, and pushing your art style and skills to the next level.
