About Grace

Ever since I was little, I have had a love for English, reading, and writing stories of my own. My biggest passion is Musical Theatre, but if I don't carry that into my future, I will most definitely carry English into my future! I have Higher and National 5 in English, which is equivalent to A-Level at B grade and GCSE at an A grade. I am currently studying Advanced Higher English which is roughly equivalent to CertHe. I can support anyone who is studying Higher (A-level) English and lower, down to primary ages. An important fact about me is that I love being able to mentor kids, I am a Prefect at my school and an ambassador for English, Drama and Music, which leads me to often go into first year classes and help the teachers with the lessons. I am calm, respectful, and kind and will always make sure the student is comfortable, with me the pupil will never feel the pressure of having to have perfect work as I understand the importance of mistakes and believe that they help you grow in the subject.

About the lesson

My lessons will be led by the pupils needs. If they need help with spelling, I'll help, if it's with creative writing, I'll show them how I write mine and how to get their brain flowing. I'll do anything from teaching to read all the way to going through past papers for exams and teaching the pupil how to write an essay. The lesson will be at the pace the student is comfortable with and there will be no pressure for perfection as we all make mistakes! You do not need to be a "good student", my only request is that you are able to give me a run down of what it is you need help with and provide me with your resources or point me in the direction to find them myself. If there is anything specific you need help with that is not listed on my profile please don't hesitate to ask!
