About Rubye
Picking up the guitar 10 years ago started as a side project and gradually filled every hour of my week. I have worked with hundreds of students who seek to understand the mechanics behind the music rather than just memorizing notes. My approach relies on the fact that guitar is largely PATTERN RECOGNITION.
These patterns can be taught and mastered through deliberate repetition and spacing. I enjoy working with people who want to understand the instrument deeply. Maybe we can chat about your goals soon.

Seeing your own hands on screen via my 2 camera setup makes grasping complex lead guitar shapes much easier. You get a monthly recorded review of your progress so you can track how those scales and modes translate into actual songs.
We break down blues progressions and ear training into manageable chunks that stay stuck in your memory. My Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar from the University of North Texas informs how I teach reading sheet music and tabs.
You will find that regular maintenance and tuning routines keep your instrument in top shape for years. Playing music should feel like a hands-on exploration of the fretboard rather than a chore. Developing your skills happens when we revisit concepts with patience and consistency.
