About Carolina

I graduated in Philosophy, earning a master degree at the Sapienza University in Rome with a 110/110 cum laude vote. During my university career I spent a year in Paris for an Erasmus experience. I know French and English well. I work with several magazines, so I regularly publish articles. I offer lessons in philosophy, history and Italian. I participated as a young historian in the television program "Past and Present" dedicated to History. Consolidated experience in repetitions. I have prepared several students at maturity.

About the lesson

The approach to the philosophy that I prefer is the one that immediately takes into consideration the text of the author studied. Before memorizing and building a history of philosophy, I think it is necessary to read the philosophers under scrutiny in order to avoid transforming such a dialogic matter into a notionism that risks becoming even boring. I think it is very important to get used to a student who is close to philosophy or who has difficulty in understanding it, to exercise his thought. The student must abandon the idea of abstract art and take a practical part in the exercise that philosophy offers. History too, like philosophy, must be redeemed from its being pure mnemonic exercise and cultured in its being a dynamic process of which we are a part. Many believe that studying history is equivalent to learning dates and events. I believe instead that it is essential to understand the dynamics within each historical event and also that it is very useful to make the history dialogue with the literature and philosophy corresponding to each period analyzed.
