About Blue
I received my Teacher's Aide diploma about 10 years ago and have continued to help my community through free in-home tutoring. I recently had 2 children of my own and got to enjoy being their “at home teacher” for about 3 years now. I have realized over this time how much I miss making an influence on our grade-level children around our community and want to start giving back again. I have loved tutoring for many years, as I stated when I was only a freshman in high school and have continued to do so when possible for all of these years later. I look forward to assisting with any learning needs you may have!

I enjoy using a mix of student-centered learning along with teacher-centered learning. I enjoy allowing the students to use their own experiences to come up with their own questions we can apply to our problem-solving abilities. Also adding in small lectures and demonstrations (hands-on when possible) to help ensure the lesson plan is being retained to our full potential. My focus is mainly with elementary and middle school-aged students, with no limitations to those who may have different learning needs. What sets me apart from other tutors is I am willing to customize a learning plan for each of my students so we can guarantee optimized learning and retention from each lesson we have together. I believe building a good tutor-to-peer relationship is very important and want to provide comfortability while learning, with no feelings of being judged.
