I believe that teachers should be given more access to working with students 1 on 1 so that they can get productive individualized help according to their learning style and interests.
I would work best with 6th-10th graders seeking tutoring in algebra. I want to go through each step of the problem with the student in terms thats they will understand, then provide an independent opportunity so that I can see what their strengths and weaknesses are. I am very patient and understanding of students and their needs.
