About Meghna
Hello future artists! I'm thrilled to be your art teacher. My biggest lesson for you won't be about how to mix colors or hold a brush—though we'll certainly cover that. My core lesson is about courage and observation. 1. Courage to Make a Mess Forget the idea of "messing up." Every piece of art is a chance to experiment. The most beautiful, original work often comes from the mistake you didn't erase, the color you didn't think would work, or the medium you tried for the first time. Don't seek perfection; seek discovery. I want you to be fearless in trying new things, because the moment you stop worrying about making a "good" painting is the moment you start making your painting. 2. The Power of Seeing My second lesson is to become a true observer of the world. Art isn't just about what you draw; it's about what you see. We will train our eyes to notice the mundane: the strange way light reflects off a crumpled piece of foil, the subtle shift in color across a shadow, or the unique texture of old wood. When you learn to see the world in detail, your ability to translate that vision onto the page will follow naturally. 3. Your Voice is the Subject Finally, remember that your unique perspective is your most valuable tool. We will learn historical techniques, but never to mimic—only to equip you. Use those techniques to tell your story, express your feelings, and articulate your unique way of seeing things. There is only one you, and therefore, only one person who can make the art you are destined to make. I can't wait to see what you create! Now, tell me, what medium are you most excited to try first?
