About Lianna
After receiving my BA from Keene State College for music and a minor in psychology, I was curious to know more about how music works with our brain and emotions. I have been teaching lessons at a music school for about 2 years now, as well as have been a previous co-music teacher at a Charter School. I have also taught guitar lessons out of my home and commuting to other friends' homes. I play left-handed guitar, but I've found that my students learn through a new experience because it acts almost as a mirroring technique for them to use. My goal is to make lessons inspiring, innovative, and fun while still learning important skill sets as a musician.

I first like to review what we did the previous week for 5 minutes. Then we will do a warm-up for 10-15 minutes. After that, I try to pick a piece that will be a challenge, as well as let the student pick a piece of their choosing. This way we are working on something that they like, and something that pushes them to achieve their fullest potential. I have a heavy emphasis in music theory, and have taught lessons to ages 5-50 years old. What sets me apart is my passion for all things music and dance, as well as encouraging my students to tap into their creativity and improvise as well.
