About Emily

Teaching is always something I have wanted to do throughout my childhood and studies. I am passionate about contributing to the futures of people and not only teaching them the knowledge they need to pass exams, but key skills that are transferrable throughout lives and careers.

I have completed many professional development programmes focused on subject knowledge and teaching and learning, allowing me to be able to teach the key skills of exam practice to ensure students get high grades. This includes critical thinking, structure to long mark questions, and understanding and unpicking questions - what is it actually asking you to write?

About the lesson

Tutoring with me will be based around your current knowledge and filling any gaps, we will first establish key strengths and weaknesses and work around this. A typical lesson is 1 hour. I have good experience in teaching and learning and assessment through my current role as a teacher, meaning I am able to incorporate resources from my main role as a teacher so that you are able to get the most of out of your sessions. I have access to exam papers and can also offer marking to those students who would prefer.

I am able to cover Geography from KS3, GCSE, A-Level and degree level.

I also achieved an A in A-Level Sociology, completing this at GCSE also. I am able to offer tutoring in this area in both GCSE and A-Level.
