About Colette
Colette Standish is a filmmaker and visual artist and a graduate of Central St. Martin's School of Art in London and a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute. Colette’s art is in many public and private collections, including the Museum of Fine Art in Santa Fe and the Anais Nin Foundation Art collection. Colette is a frequent contributor to, A Cafe in Space: Anais a Literary Journal, Colette's poem, “A Letter”, published in Volume 8, was made into a music video, I Was in Love… Still Am, by Avant-garde collective EPI based in Manchester, UK and Florence, Italy in 2018. Viaggio: A Journey, a film Colette, directed, written, composed, performed, and filmed, has been shown at film Festivals throughout Europe and the U.S.

I have been a practicing artist for over 30 years with lots of experience as an educator; from beginners, intermediates, and advanced. I also teach art history, critical studies, and art theory and aesthetics, alongside painting, drawing, photography, and video/film making. I can teach one to one and also within a group capacity. Each lesson is a minimum of 2.5 hours.
I am very hands-on and am very supporting and nurturing of my students. I create a trusting environment whereby anything goes yet at the same time be very disciplined with students
