About Raina
I was born to be a vet nurse, but I also love to share my experience and knowledge of the industry! There’s more to vet nursing than desexings and dentals, and nothing beats seeing one of your students ace an exam or crush an assignment.
About me: I’m a pet parent to an Airedale Terrier and two cats, one of whom is a retired blood donor. In addition to working in a 24-hour Specialty hospital I’m also a volunteer with Vets Beyond Borders. My most recent trip was to the Torres Strait where we desexed over 100 animals in 3 days.

If past students were asked to describe my teaching style, they would all agree that I am passionate and patient. My areas of expertise include Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine and Oncology, and my special interest area is diagnostics. I have experience training and tutoring students of all ages, learning styles and neurodivergence. I connect with students using all methods of communication, whether that be email, phone call or Zoom, in one-on-one sessions or a small group, and sessions can be designed for one hour, up to a full day.
