I embrace every opportunity to be a teacher, as my love of learning permeates and saturates every atom of my being. Whether teaching something to my kids or being excited by a student shadowing my physician, I’m always excited to play a part in the exchange of information that occurs through teaching and learning. I firmly believe in the saying that ‘knowledge is power’ and, when I can both expand the knowledge of others and learn something myself, I feel I am helping others to find a little more power as I do the same.
Critical thinking skills are deeply applicable in every aspect of a student’s life and learning. It is listed as one of the top skills wanted by employers and professional schools and is something that is vital to the students of today becoming the scientists, engineers, physicians of tomorrow
