About Emma
I have taught middle school math for the past three years, and I absolutely love it. I enjoy connecting with my students both in and out of the classroom and creating an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that every student is capable of learning math with the right support, patience, and encouragement. As a teacher, I have experience working with students with a wide range of learning styles and abilities, and I strive to meet each student where they are. My goal is not only to help students improve their math skills, but also to build their confidence and help them recognize that they are capable of more than they may think.

I love helping students simplify what they are learning by identifying patterns. When you learn to recognize common math concepts across different types of problems, the puzzle starts to come together! My approach is patient, encouraging, and focused on understanding rather than memorizing steps. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and needs, starting by identifying areas of difficulty and then working through examples together. I use clear explanations, guided practice, and questions that encourage students to think through problems independently. Whether a student needs help building foundational skills, preparing for a class, or working through challenging topics, my goal is to help them feel more confident and capable in math.
