About Jeananne
It is important that students understand I don’t view a tutor as a teacher. A teacher should introduce new material to increase one’s knowledge. As your tutor, I will provide additional tools for you to access the knowledge you have already been given, as well as tools to access knowledge on your own. I want to be your teammate. If my initial method isn’t helping, you tell me and we try something different!

I believe in the importance of combining argumentative and creative speech and writing. However, social media has usurped the minds of our youth to tell them what to think and say. I want to help them take that power back through their own works. My technique is to allow a student to learn from his/her own efforts, not by scrolling on their phone. Through innovative and, dare I say fun interactive programs, students will learn that social media is not a prerequisite to expression. Your ability to acquire knowledge, process it, understand it, and speak about it is already within you. You just need the right tools to reveal that knowledge and power.
