About Amaan

My passion for teaching stems from my experiences of working with mentors from vastly different backgrounds. This has allowed me to refine my method of teaching so that it is best suited for individual needs and goals.

As someone who initially had difficulty with subjects that I am now extremely passionate about, I know the challenges that stem from tackling the different types of hurdles from subjects, both mentally and physically. I can relate to many of the common concerns regarding difficult classes, and as such have made it my mission to carefully guide students to inspire and develop the same love for learning that I have.

After years of experiences in academia, I firmly believe on focusing on the journey as a priority before reaching a destination. By concentrating on what specifically works for YOU, my hope that you will not only make the steps to reaching mastery, but also be able to spread the passion for teaching and learning to others as well.

About the lesson

I have taught various students from middle school to college level courses and have experience teaching/coaching other areas, such as piano, speech/debate, and college counseling. I have extensive training in fostering academic growth with students, and believe in creating an environment focused on the learning process in order to give students the strength and foundation to tackle other subjects and areas of their lives.

I am a big proponent of making custom short and long term study plans for each student, with each lesson carefully tailored to maximize each session. After sketching out a timeline, I prefer to make notes highlighting relevant concepts for my students combined with questions of increasing difficulty to solidify both knowledge and understanding of the relevant subject.
