About Maddy

Hi there! I’m Maddy, a 28-year-old Physician Associate from Yorkshire with a strong passion for biology and medicine. I’m dedicated to teaching and inspiring the next generation of scientists, medics, and academics. I love using interactive methods to help students build confidence and succeed in their GCSEs and A-Levels. I also offer support with personal statement preparation for university applications, helping you craft a compelling and authentic story that highlights your strengths and ambitions. Having faced challenges myself at school as someone on the Autism Spectrum, I truly understand that learning isn’t always easy. That’s why I’m committed to making education a fun, positive, and supportive experience for everyone. Please note, I hold an advanced DBS certificate which can be provided upon request.

About the lesson

Each lesson lasts between 1 to 2 hours, customised to suit your individual needs. I use a mix of presentations, worksheets, and quizzes to assess your understanding both before and after each session. Whether you want help with homework, coursework, or practice exams, I can tailor materials specifically to support your goals. Before every session, I’ll connect with you to find out what topics you'd like to focus on, ensuring our time together is productive and targeted. My goal is to make each lesson both enjoyable and effective by using proven techniques that help information stick with you long-term. With experience tutoring large university groups and a background in a family of educators and secondary school professionals, I’m confident I can support your learning journey and exam prep with the right strategies.
