I was an immigrant who rarely ever spoke English in my home country. While I have watched tons of American media growing up and can proficiently write in English, speaking the language regularly was something I needed to practice for years. Thanks to my retail gig and college education, I could say I’ve made significant improvement that people usually are never aware that it isn’t my first language.
