About Chnoor

I am a qualified teacher with a love of teaching Physics. I am fascinated by all aspects of Physics and its application in our lives. igniting the interest of students in this subject is my passion.
I have more than 30 years teaching experience in the UK and have experience of all the major exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel ). I am also an examiner for AQA. I trained for my teaching qualification at the institute of Education University of London.

I can teach a range of subjects from Secondary School Science. I have taught at all levels including GCSE, AS and A level Physics.
I have ingenuity, skills, knowledge, and commitment to adapt the topic to the student's needs. Therefore the student can gain a greater understanding and excel in the subject. Furthermore I can bring science to life by putting most topics into real life situations or by explaining using mixed media based articles.

During my time in teaching I have been privileged to have had the following responsibilities:
• I have lead Physics departments in 3 major and successful secondary school in the London area
• Mentor and coach students on postgraduate teacher training programmes in science
• I have been the resources coordinator for Science
• I have organised and monitored assessment for learning within the Science department
• I have trained colleagues on Science resources and the best strategies to help pupils achieve
• organised trips for students to CERN in Geneva and the Physics at work exhibition in Cambridge and many other interesting physics related events
• entered my students foe many compactions including the NASA space design event at Imperial college and the Hillingdon triple science cup
•I have guided students through the UCAS process for many years

I will assess all strengths and weaknesses of the student, to understand what help and assistance is required. I will then provide a programme of individualised study decided with them in advance. I will then put strategies in place to help the student to achieve, build confidence and make progress.
I have a comprehensive knowledge of the GCSE and A-Level specifications and the content taught at secondary level for different exam boards. As well as good subject knowledge, I have experience in marking GCSE and A-Level papers and will be able to help the student with refining their exam technique.
