About Aarush
My name is Aarush, a future UBC Engineering student and recent IB graduate with a confirmed score of 40/45. With the organization United For Literacy, I have accumulated over 60 hours of online and in-person tutoring with a range of students in all STEM subjects, and have helped many students from ages 8-16 improve their academic performance and their understanding of subjects. I am able to work with a wide variety of concepts including geometry, trigonometry, calculus, physics, and chemistry. My passion for tutoring stems from watching my students improve and perform better, which makes all the work worthwhile. I aim to make learning as interesting and enjoyable as I find it myself.

As a tutor, I focus on building not just understanding, connections between concepts for my students. My approach combines simplified and clear explanations, patience, and active engagement to help students grasp both the "why" and "how." I tailor my lessons to the student's learning style and use an introductory session to get to know the student themselves, and use that information to make specific lesson plans and homework. My lessons are ideal for middle to high school students, including those in IB or similar enriched programs, and I bring over 60 hours of tutoring experience with a focus on academic improvement and confidence.
