About Kaylee
Kia ora! I’m Kaylee, a qualified secondary teacher with four years of teaching experience in both New Zealand and England. I specialize in English and literacy and have experience teaching NCEA Level 1 English, junior literacy, and GCSE English.
I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in their reading, writing, analysis, and overall literacy skills. My teaching style is friendly, patient, creative, and adaptable, and I believe that building a positive relationship with each student is an important part of helping them succeed.
I have experience working with students across a wide range of abilities, including learners who need additional support with foundational literacy skills. I aim to make learning approachable and engaging while tailoring sessions to each student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style.

I’m a qualified secondary English teacher with four years of teaching experience in New Zealand and England. I have taught NCEA Level 1 English as well as junior literacy classes designed to prepare Year 9 and 10 students for NCEA.
I can support students with reading comprehension, writing, text analysis, essay structure, literacy skills, and understanding assessment requirements. I also have experience working with students who find English challenging and need extra support to build their confidence and foundational skills.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and adaptable. I focus on getting to know each student and finding approaches that work for them, while making English feel more manageable and engaging.
