About Melissa
I am a fully qualified teacher in Religious Studies with Humanities as a specialism. I have experience in tutoring a variety of ages (both primary and secondary ages) since 2014 in 11+ preparation, English and Maths. I have a 2:1 BA Honours Degree in History and Religious Studies and a PGCE teaching qualification. I am motivated, organised in session planning and I have proven progress through my sessions. My main goal is to secure high student attainment and to instill confidence in the students abilities.

My teaching methods are interactive and focus on the students main areas of difficulty. I like to bring variety to the sessions, with a combination of question based activities, worksheets and modelling techniques. All sessions are tailored towards the end goal of increasing attainment and results through creating a rapport with the student where their confidence is strengthened, stretching and challenging their learning to improve their abilities over time.
