About Ayse

I am British from Cyprus and moved to the UK 12 years ago. Currently a secondary school teacher teaching French and German. Studied French (major) & English Language (minor) at university. I have been tutoring non-professionally to my family members and friends who were struggling with their language. I absolutely love tutoring people and give them something that I know will be very useful for them.

About the lesson

I am a very active person and like to always make sure that I am getting my points across without boring my students to sleep (hopefully will never happen) To make sure that there is a comfortable and friendly environment in the classroom I start with a few icebreaker activities to see what is the language level of my students and to create a friendly environment. When approaching a new topic, first of all I start by explaining what our new topic is and how it’s structured. Secondly, I start to speak in English and tell a story with the grammar techniques of that new topic and make sure to point them out as I’m saying them so that it can be understood how they are used in the sentence. I do a lot of creative and educative activities during my classes to keep us on our toes and make sure the fun never ends while learning!
