About Trisha
Hi! I’m Trisha, and I’m currently a fourth-year medical student at University College Cork. I grew up and completed the International Baccalaureate in Dubai before moving to Ireland to study medicine.
I genuinely enjoy explaining things and finding ways to make complicated topics feel much less intimidating. Medicine has also taught me that understanding the reasoning behind something makes it so much easier to remember than simply trying to memorize everything.
I want to tutor because I know how frustrating it can be when you are putting in the work but a topic just is not clicking. Sometimes all you need is someone to slow it down, draw it out, or explain it from a completely different angle.
I am very patient and I want students to feel comfortable telling me when they do not understand something. You never have to pretend something makes sense when it does not!
Outside of medicine, I love mountaineering, climbing, traveling and anything outdoors. I am quite an easy-going person, and I would like my lessons to feel the same way. Relaxed and friendly, but still focused on helping you genuinely understand the material and become more confident in it.

I did the IB in Dubai and I am now a fourth-year medical student at University College Cork (UCC). I am happy to teach students at different levels, including Leaving Cert and IB Biology students, as well as university and early medical students looking for help with Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology or Microbiology.
One thing I am genuinely good at is taking something that seems really complicated and breaking it down into smaller concepts that actually make sense. I know how frustrating it can be to read the same paragraph or lecture slide over and over and still not understand what it is trying to tell you.
I like to teach visually and interactively. I am happy to draw diagrams, work things out step by step, use examples and analogies, and explain the same concept in different ways until we find the one that works for you. I would much rather help you understand why something happens than have you simply memorise a list of facts.
For Leaving Cert and IB students, we can work on understanding course content, exam questions, revision and any areas you are finding difficult. Having completed the IB myself, I can also help IB students with exam technique, command terms and understanding what questions are actually asking.
For university or early medical students, I can help break down topics in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology and Microbiology, particularly if lectures are moving quickly and you want someone to go through a topic with you at your own pace.
Lessons are usually around 60 minutes and will be based around what you actually need help with. You can come to me with a particular topic, lecture or set of questions, or we can figure out together where your gaps are and work from there.
I want the lessons to feel relaxed and comfortable. Ask me as many questions as you need. If my first explanation does not make sense to you, I will happily draw it out, simplify it or find another way of explaining it until it clicks.
