About Emily
I’m a former Navy photojournalist, graphic designer, business owner, and photographer. You wouldn’t know I’m a veteran by meeting me. After the Navy, I worked in printing before attending Montgomery College, obtaining an Associate’s degree in Art History before transferring to University of Maryland College Park, where I earned a Bachelor’s in Studio Art. My focus was on black and white darkroom photography, and in 2025, I started a photography business called Grayscale that I plan to grow into a community darkroom and makerspace geared toward photographers and graphic designers.
