About Alex

I graduated with a degree in Geography and I am a former teacher from an urban middle school. My average class size was over 33. I helped many of my students found new ways to understand the relevance of and their place in history.

About the lesson

I love inquiry based learning. Students will be able to identify and research issues and questions to develop their knowledge or solutions, including problem solving. I use the “Understanding By Design” format that involves starting at the end with this question: What will my students be able to do at the end of this lesson and how will they demonstrate their skills?
