About Jenna
I LOVE biology. I always love explaining the functioning of the human body and how it all works together to make you YOU! I totally understand that there are topics that are hard to understand, and some processes that are just hard to get straight in your head. I find that once there is a relevance for you, once there is a reason to know the information, it becomes increasingly interesting. I hope to spark interest in the students mind when it comes to biology, whether that be for plants, animals, or humans. It is so interesting and such a big world to dive into.
My brain works the best when I can put everything in a chart or a diagram. I am both a visual and kinesthetic learner, so I teach that way as well. I am learning to teach those who are audible and vocal learners so I can teach what I love to the best of my abilities to everyone!
I'm looking forward to seeing you on zoom!

A 30 minute session for elementary, middle and high school students, focused on what the student is struggling with that will clearly layout, explain, and apply the concept in a way that the student will understand and be able to apply in everyday life.
I will assess what the student already knows about the concept at hand, and will either build on or correct the understanding. We will then continue deeper into the topic to the appropriate level, while maintaining the understanding and the interest of the student.
I have a passion for biology, particularly the human anatomy and physiology side. I have an interest in the diseases of the body; specifically because of their relevance in this day and age, and how they allow us to understand so much better how the body and its systems are interconnected.
A typical lesson plan will be roughly as follows:
- Intro and assessing the concept to be learnt
- Assessing the students current knowledge of the concept
- Building on or correcting the understanding of the concept
- Digging into the concept in a simple, easy to understand way that the student won't easily forget!!
