About Fangzhu
Hi, I’m Fangzhu! I’m a final-year Neuroscience student at Trinity College Dublin, currently achieving First-Class results. I also achieved an A* in A-level Biology before starting university.
I have previous experience tutoring Leaving Cert Biology, and my students went on to achieve H1 and H2 grades. Having studied biology from school level through to university neuroscience, I understand both the challenges students face and what it takes to prepare effectively for exams.
I enjoy breaking complicated topics down into simple, understandable ideas and helping students see how different concepts connect, rather than relying purely on memorization. I’m friendly and patient, and I adapt my teaching to each student’s pace and areas of difficulty.
My goal is not only to help students improve their exam results, but also to build their confidence and make biology feel much more manageable.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind biological concepts rather than simply memorizing facts, and then apply that understanding to exam-style questions.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes and can include concept explanations, diagrams, practice questions and reviewing areas the student finds difficult. I can also help with exam technique and revision planning.
I am a final-year Neuroscience student at Trinity College Dublin with a First-Class academic record and a strong background in Biology. My lessons are suitable for secondary school students, including Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert Biology students.
