About Kaitlyn

I'm a friendly and approachable tutor with a First Class degree in Law and Criminology from the University of York. I achieved AAA at A-level in Maths, History and Sociology, giving me a strong academic background across a range of subjects.

Having recently completed university myself, I understand how overwhelming studying, revising and preparing for exams can sometimes feel. I know that everyone learns differently, so I aim to make lessons enjoyable, engaging and tailored to each student's needs.

Outside of my studies, I have experience tutoring younger pupils in maths, and I enjoy helping others develop their understanding and confidence. I'm patient, supportive and always happy to explain something in a different way if it helps things click!

Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for exams or simply feel more confident in a subject, I'd love to help you reach your goals in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient and tailored to each student's individual needs. I aim to make learning enjoyable and accessible by breaking down difficult topics, explaining concepts clearly and helping students build confidence in their abilities.

Lessons will be adapted to each student's goals, whether that involves understanding challenging topics, preparing for exams, improving essay structure or developing research and critical thinking skills. I encourage students to ask questions and get involved in discussions, using examples, practice questions and revision techniques to strengthen their understanding and help them become more independent learners.

Lessons will typically last one hour, although this can be adjusted to suit each student's needs and availability.

I have previous experience tutoring younger pupils in maths, adapting my explanations to their individual needs and helping them develop their understanding and confidence.

I welcome students of all ages and abilities, from primary-school pupils looking for support, to GCSE and A-level students studying relevant subjects, and undergraduate students studying Law and Criminology. I aim to create a supportive environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions and can work towards achieving their individual goals.
