About Akanni

Hello future students and parents!

My name is Sodiq Akanni, an M.Sc. student in Food and Industrial Microbiology at Lagos State University (LASU), a motivated first-class graduate of B.Sc. Microbiology from the same university, where I finished as the best graduating student of my department and a consistent top-of-the-class achiever. With a JAMB score of over 300 and a strong background in both mathematics and science, I bring proven academic excellence to my teaching.

I have over four years of teaching experience in Nigeria and more than a year of experience teaching UK students, giving me valuable insight into different learning styles and academic systems. My teaching approach is simple: I break lessons into clear, manageable steps that match your pace. Together, we’ll turn confusion into understanding, build your confidence, and make learning enjoyable. I want you to stay curious, ask questions freely, and see that tackling challenges can be both fun and rewarding. With me, learning isn’t just about passing exams, it’s about enthusiastic learning and applying the knowledge gained.

About the lesson

Deeply committed to my students’ success. Patient and approachable, I tailor my teaching to each student’s learning pace, breaking down complex topics into simple bits. My goal is to ensure every student gains something new from each class, understands concepts clearly, builds confidence, and achieves their academic potential effectively. No student is ever left behind, I use familiar, everyday examples to help learners connect with and understand abstract concepts, making learning both accessible and engaging.
