As a college student who graduated High School with a 4.4 GPA and successful completion of APES (receiving a score of 4 on the exam), I bring both academic excellence and a deep understanding of algebra and environmental science. My experience and dedication ensure a professional and effective tutoring approach, aimed at helping high school students achieve their academic goals that boost their academic resume moving forward into college as well as potentially reducing college-required classes by scoring well on the APES exam.

My lessons are for High School students who are looking for help in Algebra as well as students who would like to score high on the APES exam.
- Teaching methods for Math include scaffolding, such as breaking down tasks to divide problems into simpler, manageable steps. This would also include visual learning such as drawing out and walking through examples and then having the student complete similar problems. I would also include formative assessments to review progression.
- Teaching methods for APES would include a variety of methods such as active learning (discussion-based), formative assessment (practice quizzes, exit tickets, polls, feedback), Socratic method (questioning), Memory practice, and most importantly real-world application. We would review exactly what College Board is looking for to retrieve that score you're aiming for.
I would also like to clarify that for both subjects a consistent method that is certain will be patience with the student and effective communication to both create a welcoming and encouraging environment.
