About Jasmine
Final year student doctor and neuroscience (natural sciences) graduate at the University of Cambridge.
Recipient of the Salters-Nuffield Advanced Biology Prize 2017.
Looking to tutor a range of subjects, in particular Biology, as well as medical applications and interviews. I frequently run medical 'crash courses' (recently featured in one of Ali Abdaal's YouTube videos), so I am familiar with the skillset applicants require to do well.

Through strong and consistent communication with the student I like to identify problem areas that require more work first, starting with the basics and building up the complexity.
Utilising syllabus breakdowns to guide sessions is key to staying relevant and on-topic. Feedback from the student can guide future sessions, such that they are tailored to their own learning methods. Learning through practice and active participation often helps the students progress quickly.
All in all, the aim of the sessions is to, of course, build content knowledge from the foundations upwards, but also to instil self-confidence and real understanding. Hopefully students will enjoy the sessions, as well as benefitting academically.
Sessions from 1 to 2 hours in length, covering content and exam questions or exam papers with live marking and discussion (biology/chemistry/physics/maths/UCAT/BMAT).
Medical admissions sessions include discussion of how best to succeed in interviews as well as mocks.
Several years and hundreds of hours of experience tutoring.
