About Rachel
I am a multidisciplinary creative and entrepreneur with a fine arts background and 15 years of professional experience as a founder, designer, maker and teacher. I have taught natural dyeing, basket making, weaving, and craft workshops to adults and community groups in Colorado, fashion design at a university in Cambodia, worked with kids of all ages in community arts programs, and have lectured at Harvard and Oxford on sustainable business and design. I bring a warm, encouraging teaching style rooted in hands-on experimentation, sustainability, and creative curiosity. My students leave with real skills and a deeper connection to materials and making.

My classes explore the intersection of nature, craft, and creativity. I teach basket making, natural dyeing, weaving, found object sculpture, painting and more using foraged, recycled, and sustainable materials wherever possible. Classes are hands-on and experiential, designed for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced maker looking to explore a new medium, my lessons are structured around learning through play, slowing down, and connecting with the creative process. Each class leaves you with a finished piece and a new set of skills you can continue building on your own.
