About Lloyd

I’m a non-boring AND patient tutor who knows how to make tough topics feel a lot less scary. I achieved 7s and above in all my GCSEs, went on to get A grades in Maths, Economics, and Computer Science at A-Level, and now study Financial Computing at the University of Liverpool. While I take learning seriously, I keep my lessons relaxed and approachable so students feel comfortable asking questions (even the “stupid” ones). I’m reliable, motivated, and committed to helping every student make real progress — with some fun on the way.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring I believe every student learns best when complex ideas are broken down into simple, practical steps. My teaching style is interactive and tailored — I focus on explaining concepts clearly, using real-world examples, and ensuring students fully understand before moving forward. I also encourage questions and problem-solving so students gain both confidence and independence in their studies. Lesson Structure & Methodology Lesson Length: Typically 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student’s needs. Methodology: A blend of short explanations, worked examples, and guided practice. I start by reviewing prior knowledge, then introduce new material in manageable chunks, followed by practice questions and review. Techniques: Use of past exam questions, step-by-step worked solutions, and customized exercises to strengthen weak areas. Qualifications & Experience Achieved A grades in Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science at Dubai English Speaking College. Currently studying Financial Computing at the University of Liverpool, combining mathematical, financial, and programming expertise. Experienced in helping peers with coursework and exam preparation, with proven success in simplifying challenging topics.
