About Cynthia

With over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Computational Mathematics, I specialize in making math accessible to everyone—especially those from non-STEM backgrounds. I’ve worked closely with liberal arts students, humanities scholars, and learners who’ve long carried math anxiety. My approach is holistic: I focus on the why behind mathematical ideas, not just the how. I use everyday analogies and real-life parallels to illuminate complex theories. Whether it’s understanding the logic of trigonometry through music or exploring number patterns through history, I bring math to life in unexpected ways. I often introduce the historical evolution of a concept to show its purpose and relevance. This opens the door for richer understanding and deeper engagement. Big ideas like infinity, symmetry, and change are not just mathematical—they're part of how we interpret the world. I help students appreciate these connections.
