About Elyse
Elyse Mickalonis grew up in upstate New York with a love for animals, cooking and bonfires. Elyse earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the State University of New York at Purchase College and Master's Degree from New York University. Elyse began her yoga journey in Johnson City, NY as a student at Yoga Body Shop, a Baptiste Affiliate Studio. There, she took gentle hot yoga and hot vinyasa classes, as well as assist and align workshops. She also completed Baron Baptiste's 40 Days to Personal Revolution. Elyse has been practicing yoga since 2012. In 2015, Elyse received her 240 hour certification and began teaching classes at Free Spirits Yoga in Greensboro, NC. Soon after that, she lead classes at The Breathing Room in Winston-Salem, NC. Elyse now lives just outside Boston. Elyse is a strong believer in practicing gratitude. After a health scare in 2012, Elyse began seeing the value in living in the present and letting go of what we can't control. In her classes, students can expect to shed daily stresses, embrace joy and find strength in meditation and vinyasa. They can also expect to smile.
